Granite Mountain attempt, Anza-Borrego: 05.08.10

Late in the season attempt to hike Granite Mountain (5633 ft) from the east via Cool Canyon. After scrambling for almost 3 hrs, we settled at the 'false peak' (4624 ft) in a nice cave with much needed shade. Temperatures were in the high 70s-80s F. on a sunny and breeze day. Will return :)
